The Neuroprosthetics Lab is developing technology to restore speech for people living with neurological impairments. Led by Dr. David Brandman and Dr. Sergey Stavisky, our researchers have restored an ALS patient’s ability to communicate – through a computer and in his own voice by developing a brain-computer interface (BCI) that translates brain signals into speech with up to 97% accuracy.
