Jasmine Diaz knows how life changing that support can be. After experiencing profound loss, she nearly gave up on her dream of becoming a doctor. But with mentorship, tutoring, an HSI conference, and an opportunity to work in Luis Carvajal-Carmona’s cancer research lab, she found her way back to science. “Even if it’s a roller-coaster journey,” she says, “doors do open.”

Your Give Day gift will expand college and career programs, fund hands-on learning, strengthen mentorship, and foster employee advancement. Faculty and staff who thrive help students persist, which benefits their community: “Success for me is the success of my community,” one UC Davis student shared.
