The Annual Fund supports faculty research, scholarships and areas of greatest need at UC Davis.

Unrestricted funding, provided by the Annual Fund, supports key university programs and allows Chancellor May the flexibility he needs to respond quickly to critical emerging needs and opportunities. But the Annual Fund also supports crucial campus research and scholarship programs as well, as noted below.

For 25 years the Chancellor's Fellows program has promoted creative and scientific inquiries at UC Davis. Two hundred faculty have charted new territory in cellular biology, teen bullying, writing and artistic expression, climate change, public health, empowering the underserved, searching for life on Mars, and more.

Chancellor’s Achievement Awards allow high-performing California students from underserved backgrounds to pursue their education here. Most recipients are part of the 42 percent of our undergraduates who are first generation to college. These awards are key to keeping a UC Davis education accessible to all. Because excellence and diversity are not mutually exclusive.
