We met our initial goal! Please support our stretch goal of $2,000.
Join us to support the Princess Pals at UC Davis fund
Princess Pals at UC Davis is an organization where students dress up as storybook characters and princesses and visit children’s hospitals, libraries, women’s shelters, and graduate student housing in Davis and Yolo County. Maybe you’ve seen us around—in downtown Davis for Halloween and Christmas, at Orchard Park apartments, or walking in the Picnic Day parade!
Our goal is to raise the spirits of the community while providing an opportunity for students to have fun. Princess Pals is a 100% free experience for members and the community. Every week, we volunteer our time by attending meetings, coordinating event logistics, or dressing up for community events where we face-paint, read, and do crafts with children. We do this because we find joy in serving the community. In return, our impact is captured in a child’s happy face, a parent’s gratitude, and the feeling of being cared for.
Gifts to our campaign will provide general support for Princess Pals at UC Davis, including our current priority of growing our costume inventory by purchasing new character costumes and different sizes for each, allowing more students to dress up. Contributions will also cover craft supplies, transportation costs, dry-cleaning services, and club dues for our members, ensuring that Princess Pals can keep on being an experience for everyone.
Your generosity will help Princess Pals continue volunteering and spreading joy in the Davis and Yolo County community. Your support will also help us continue giving students a space where they can express themselves, develop public speaking skills, work with children, and practice leadership and operations management as club officers.
Video description: The video opens with the words “Princess Pals” in pink font over a picture of two students dressed as Rapunzel and Mulan, standing in front of a pink table with pipe cleaner flowers being sold for a fundraiser. In the background, whimsical instrumental music plays. The video transitions into a photo of twelve members dressed as several princesses, standing on a green lawn during picnic day with the text stating the club is located at UC Davis. The next several images include our members dressed up as princesses at different locations and events throughout the year, along with text that talks about what our club is and what donations can do for us. It ends with a thank you to our donors.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us! We’ve passed our original goal of $1,000 and we’re now aiming higher. We’re setting a new goal of $2,000 to expand our costume inventory, cover craft supplies, transportation costs, dry-cleaning services, and club dues for our members.
