The Office of Sorority & Fraternity Life

WELCOME TO THE OFFICE OF SORORITY AND FRATERNITY LIFE

The Sorority and Fraternity Life office supports 6 governing councils representing several Greek letter organizations on a limited programming budget annually. Each Governing Council offers their own experience and their own affiliated chapters, all with varying interests.

The mission of the Office of Sorority & Fraternity Life is to foster the development of students who affiliate with social, social-cultural, professional, and service sororities and fraternities through educational programs, advising support, accountability, and advocacy.

We aim to become a robust, dynamic the Sorority and Fraternity Life community allowing our students multiple opportunities to engage and grow. The funds raised will supplement our limited budget to provide educational events for the Sorority and Fraternity Life community such as guest speakers to cover topics of sexual violence, leadership development, chapter management, and/or alcohol/substance use. The funds will also support events for the Sorority and Fraternity Life community such as a Greek Week to build unity, the annual President’s Retreat and AFLV (Association for Fraternal Life & Values) conference, and additional programming.

Last year we took 16 students to AFLV conference in Anaheim, CA and we would love to take more next year! Our project is 100% poured back into the students and we work with limited funds currently. We would love to have supplemental funds to execute amazing events for our entire SFL community. We not only want to have additional educational events but events that build community.
