Join us to support the Project RISHI at UC Davis fund
Project RISHI (Rural India Social and Health Improvement) at UC Davis aims to uplift and empower underserved communities in rural India. By forming impactful partnerships with local NGOs and nonprofits, we tackle critical developmental challenges through evidence-based research and targeted initiatives.
Our goal is to bring sustainable change by addressing disparities and improving quality of life. With a year-long commitment, teams work on 1-2 major projects within their area of expertise, ranging from youth health and social issues to environmental sustainability. Participants get the unique opportunity to travel to India annually and see the real-world impact of their work. Youth Initiatives focus on crucial health, social, and self-defense topics, while Computer Literacy projects train residents in essential tech skills, opening doors to new opportunities.
Our Preventative Health efforts tackle pressing public health concerns like diabetes and mental health, while Financial Literacy programs teach vital budgeting and financial management skills. Chronic Illness advocacy promotes healthy living and essential knowledge about diseases such as HIV, and our Environmental Health projects educate communities on sustainability practices to safeguard their environment.
Gifts to our project provide general support for Project RISHI at UC Davis including our current priority of driving these vital initiatives, ensuring that every project we undertake brings lasting benefits to those in need. By supporting Project RISHI, you are investing in a future where rural communities in India thrive through empowerment, education, and sustainable development.
Join us in making a tangible difference and be a part of this remarkable journey towards holistic improvement.
