Gifts to Moot Court contribute to...
Join us to support the Moot Court Program fund
Moot Court at UC Davis is a competitive collegiate Moot Court team that competes as part of the American Moot Court Association (AMCA) national competition. Since our program's founding in 2022, we have risen in ranks to 14th overall program in the nation and 6th for appellate Brief Writing. We strive to strengthen our members' advocacy skills by competing in AMCA's tournaments against university students from across the nation.
Moot Court at UC Davis seeks to create a collaborative environment when analyzing the controversial and often politically charged Supreme Court and state case opinions related to an annual case problem released by the American Moot Court Association (AMCA).
Our main focus for fundraising centers around raising money to support our team participating in Oral Advocacy tournaments, where competitors are tasked with delivering appellate arguments in front of a panel of justices who interrupt the argument to ask pointed questions. Our Oral Advocacy teams work toward improving communication, public speaking, and the ability to respond to challenges to their argument; skills that are invaluable in the legal field. These regional tournaments are hosted in the San Francisco, Fresno, and LA areas. Pre-nationals and nationals tournaments are hosted anywhere from Texas to South Carolina.
Gifts to our project provide general support for the Moot Court at UC Davis, including our current priority of sending our team to higher-level tournaments this upcoming season. We appreciate any and all support to help us further our commitment to developing legal skills and representing UC Davis.
