🗒️About

This campaign has ended. However, you may still support the UC Davis Transit Research Center fund here.

The Transit Research Symposium convenes students, researchers, transit agencies, local governments, state agencies and policy makers. We present cutting edge research on transit ridership and recovery, innovations, transit users, and equity! Sessions include in-depth and engaging workshop discussions of critical policy and practice issues facing transit.

Highlights of last year’s symposium included the keynote from Jeff Morales, Managing Principal at InfraStrategies, LLC and a closing plenary session vision for transit from Chirsty Wegener, Executive Director, Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority. More information on past symposia can be found here.

What sets the Transit Research Symposium apart is the extensive opportunities for students to engage with policy makers, practitioners, state and local agencies. Students learn firsthand from those working in the many areas of policy and practice that shape public transit in California and beyond. This year’s event will also feature a job fair for students to make connections with transit industry leaders from across the state!

Donations to our campaign will provide general support for UC Davis Transit Research Center, including our current priority of fostering student and community member participation in our annual event. These relationships foster engaged research to support transit agencies in their critical role to improve equitable transportation access and mobility and reduce the climate impacts of transportation through alternative modes of transportation. Our work impacts transit agencies throughout California and the US including local agencies Sacramento Regional Transit, Capitol Corridor, and the Yolo Transportation District.

All of us at the Transit Research Center value your support for our annual event and most of all, for our students!
