This campaign has ended. However, you may still support the Paul Hom Asian Clinic Health Fair Fund here.
Who We Are
When Dr. Paul Hom recognized a gap in care, he took action. In 1971, he founded a free clinic to serve immigrant families in Sacramento who faced cultural, linguistic, and financial barriers to healthcare. More than 50 years later, the Paul Hom Asian Clinic continues his vision by providing compassionate primary care and language interpretation services free of charge.
Our Project Goals
Dr. Hom’s enduring legacy of giving back to the community relies on healthcare professionals, professional students, and undergraduate students who volunteer their time on weekends to address our patients’ needs.
Health Fair is our largest, student-run annual event, hosted by our three clinics (PHAC, VN CARES, and HLUB) at the UC Davis Medical Center. The goal of this event is to recruit over 100 patients from our community to not only address medical disparities but also build connections with members of Sacramento. During this event, patients can access a variety of free health services, from basic screenings to specialty consultations and wellness education. As a token of our appreciation, we also provide free food, entertainment, and care bags for our patients.
Your Impact
Continuing Dr. Hom’s vision also relies on donors like you. In addition to planning for Health Fair 2026, our event promotes the professional development of members of our volunteer medical team who aspire to become community leaders who make a positive change. Your support allows us to continue our main clinic operations, expand outreach, and restore hope to people facing chronic illnesses.
