This campaign has ended. However, you may still support the Imagining America fund here.
Imagining America (IA) invites you to become an important contributor to making the IA National Gathering hosted by UC Davis free to as many campus and community members as possible!
On October 23-25, 2026, the national public scholarship consortium Imagining America: Artists and Scholars in Public Life (located at UC Davis) will host its final National Gathering before moving headquarters to another institution July 1, 2027. This momentous event will take place in at UC Davis and interactive community, cultural, and ecological sites across the region. Over the course of three days participants will experience immersive art making, community conversations, interactive workshops, performances, presentations, and maker spaces highlighting engaged and public scholarship, arts, and creative cultural organizing on the most pressing issues of our time.
With a focus on Arts and Ecology, key partners including the Mondavi Center for Performing Arts, the Manetti Shrem Museum, the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Gardens, Shields Library, Global Affairs, the City of Davis, and many more will come together to demonstrate how creative and ecologically grounded scholarship, art, design, and cultural practices may both bring us together in challenging times and pave a sustainable path to the future.
Your contribution will support Imagining America’s work in developing student and community leaders, advancing full participation in higher education, and shaping the national conversation about the public value of engaged arts, humanities, and design. This critical giving campaign will enable students and community members to come to what promises to be a dynamic and inspiring National Gathering free of cost.
