The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers at UC Davis (IEEE at UCD) develops skills UC Davis students use going into the electrical engineering industry. IEEE at UCD wants to provide current and future students with opportunities to be at the forefront of innovation, visiting worksites and creating projects with hands-on approaches, no cost to them with everything paid for by IEEE at UCD. Along with this, we provide technical and social events allowing students to connect, alleviating the pressure of rigorous academics and stress anxiety.
Two major projects IEEE at UCD wants to do in the 2025-26 school year requiring ample amounts of funding are industry tours in the Sacramento and Bay Area, with a culminating banquet at year’s end to show students, professors, and companies what IEEE at UCD members are able to accomplish with grit and resilience. Besides these major plans, the student organization plans weekly events relating to skill development or social connections, which we hope can provide concessions with every meeting. Donations to our campaign will provide general support for IEEE at UCD, including these priorities.
Post pandemic, IEEE at UCD has had a hard time returning to its successful state. This year, a dedicated team of electrical and computer undergraduate students are determined to bring the club back to its former glory. With the help of the UC Davis community and the IEEE organization, the leadership board has ambitious goals to complete by the end of the year.
Anything is possible with the help of people like you that support engineering, higher education, and classroom-to-industry learning.
