🗒️About

This campaign has ended. However, you may still support the Engineers Without Borders Student Support Fund here.

Engineers Without Borders (EWB) at UC Davis is a non-profit student organization aimed at helping developing areas worldwide with their engineering needs. Students of all majors may work on the different components of the project such as health & safety, budget, construction, and communication. Our club partners with international communities who have contacted the EWB-USA national headquarters, expressing the need for vital resources (e.g. access to safe drinking water, and clean energy). Collaboration with various other disciplines is required for designing and implementing sustainable solutions.

Engineers Without Borders at UC Davis focuses on providing sustainable infrastructure for developing communities. Donations to our campaign provide general support to Engineers Without Borders at UC Davis, including our current priority of funding the development of clean water infrastructure in Saparcon Bajo, Peru, and community latrines in Parque Colani, Bolivia.

In Peru, our spring box design will draw water from a local spring and provide clean water for community members. In Bolivia, latrines are a healthy way of disposing of human waste which helps reduce the amount of disease within Parque Colani. In Bolivia, we have recently completed our final implementation of our project, and will continue monitoring throughout the next year. Furthermore, our Bolivia team is hoping to begin a domestic project as well.

In Peru, we’ve helped reconstruct a water reservoir that now provides water to a community of hundreds, and intend to continue serving more communities in Peru with accessible drinking water. Additionally, the Peru team is actively working to assist a new community, aiming to address their water access needs promptly. We believe everyone should have access to resources that sustain a healthy lifestyle, and our projects help bridge that gap.

With the help of our donors, we can continue to work with these communities to provide them with their basic needs.
