This campaign has ended. However, you may still support the Danzantes del Alma fund here.
Danzantes del Alma (DDA), is a Ballet folklorico retention program housed at the Cross Cultural Center at the University of California, Davis. DDA promotes cultural awareness, student leadership, inclusive excellence, and artistic expression through the beautiful art of baile folklorico.
Formed in 1977 as a student organization through advocacy and activism, Danzantes del Alma has established a strong presence in our community and has grown exponentially over the years. Our current troupe consists of 70 general members, 14 board members, and staff advisors. Throughout the academic year, our troupe members engage in weekly practices, perform at community events, participate in a photoshoot, and actively work towards creating our annual show which takes place during spring quarter at the UC Davis Mondavi Center. We showcase traditional dances from various states and regions of Mexico and invite the community to join us.
During this month we invite you to support our program as we raise funds to cover part of our operational costs associated with the annual show production. Your donation will help cover instructor fees, wardrobe purchases including repairs & maintenance fees, photographer and videographer fees, props for our annual show, and live music for the production amongst other areas.
We appreciate donations of all amounts. If you are unable to contribute at this time, we invite you to share our crowdfunding page your connections and help us reach a wider audience.
Thank you all for your support. ¡TodoxDDA!
