This campaign has ended. However, you may still support the CalTeach/MAST Future STEM Educator Award fund here.
You can make a lasting impact by supporting the next generation of math and science teachers through this campaign. The UC Davis CalTeach/MAST Program inspires, prepares, and supports future STEM educators by engaging undergraduate STEM majors in K–12 teaching internships and courses that build strong instructional skills, confidence, and commitment to teaching. Our mission is to increase the number, quality, and diversity of STEM teachers entering classrooms—an urgent priority as California and the nation continue to face a severe shortage of K–12 math and science educators.
This year, we are raising funds to provide two $2,000 scholarships to outstanding UC Davis STEM students—one majoring in mathematics and one in science or engineering—who have been accepted into the UC Davis Teacher Education Program for Fall 2026. These awards help offset the significant financial strain of the credential year, a demanding period when students are often unable to maintain paid employment, while also recognizing the exceptional preparation they completed through CalTeach/MAST coursework and internships.
We’ve passed our original goal of $4,000 and we’re now aiming higher. Thank you to everyone who has supported our efforts so far. Because of your amazing support, we’re setting a stretch goal of $6,000 to fund an additional STEM Educator Award for a future UC Davis math or science teacher.
