This campaign has ended. However, you may still support the Aggie Propulsion & Rocketry Lab fund here.
Aggie Propulsion & Rocketry Lab (APRL) is a student-led organization whose goal is to design, manufacture, and test liquid fueled rockets on the collegiate scale. After performing the first hot-fire test of a liquid bipropellant rocket engine in UC Davis' history, APRL is now working towards iterating on its design and integrating its tested hardware into a flight-ready vehicle.
Your donation will enable passionate UC Davis students to work together across science and engineering disciplines to design and launch a rocket and propulsion system. Students gain valuable experience in areas such as the engineering design process and hands-on manufacturing, as well as develop time management, writing, and communication skills through their time with our team. We strive to build a welcoming environment comprised of a diverse set of students who grapple with and solve complex problems.
Your contributions will fund equipment for our propellant feed system, necessary electrical hardware for our control system, and materials needed for our engine to withstand its harsh operating condition. You’ll be supporting the overall construction of UC Davis’ first liquid fueled rocket, which we plan to launch in Spring of 2026!
Join us today with a gift of any size to Aggie Propulsion and Rocketry Lab to help future Aggie engineers fulfill their dream of reaching for the stars!
Thank you all so so much for your support. We have met and surpassed our goal of $2000 in a single week! We are now setting a stretch goal of $5000. We are fired up and excited to see how high our community can take us (literally haha).
Speaking of fire! Today, Saturday February 7th, we will be testing our Mu-2 rocket engine with our friends at FAR. Check out our live-stream on YouTube to watch the hot fire live!
