Cyclone Robosub is a club creating a wave of opportunities for students passionate for engineering to learn and gain hands-on robotics experience. Everyone is welcome to the team, regardless of experience. Not only do we help students develop their technical abilities, we also foster a community of robotics enthusiasts.

Unlike other engineering clubs on campus, we ensure an opportunity for all students to participate with no club membership fees. We host lots of workshops for members to increase their depth of knowledge. However, without membership funding, it is essential for us to raise funds to keep our operations running.

Our members work hard, collaborate on their ideas, and learn from workshops and each other, gaining expertise in both the hardware and software aspects of robotics. We work around the clock—holding productive meetings throughout the week, weekend, and during breaks. Currently, we’re developing our vehicle control & navigation software and updating our electrical systems.

We have the leadership, the people, the knowledge, and the skills to succeed in this competition—but our biggest limitation is funding. Your support provides us with general support and allows us to travel to and make a splash at our first competition, proudly representing UC Davis! Donations provide students with opportunities to learn and enhance their skills by developing autonomous underwater vehicles for the Robosub competition. This includes our current priorities such as purchasing components and materials for our competition vehicle.
